Painter and decorator covering Stockport
From the Edgeley terraces to the detached homes up towards Bramhall Moor, Greg takes on Stockport decorating work of every size — with the same preparation-first approach he brings to his home patch in Cheadle.
Stockport homes, old and new
Stockport's housing is a study in eras: red-brick terraces around Edgeley and Heaton Chapel, substantial semis in the leafier roads off Bramhall Moor, and the converted mills and apartment blocks redefining the town centre. Terraces test a decorator's eye for detail — narrow stairwells, original architraves, plaster that has shrunk back over a century.
In the newer apartments the work is different again: clean lines, careful cutting-in around fitted wardrobes, and finishes chosen to suit how the space is lived in. Greg sizes the approach to the property, not the other way round.
Close enough to be there when promised
Stockport town centre is a ten-minute drive from Greg's Cheadle base, and the outlying neighbourhoods barely further. That proximity shows in the way the work runs: quotes booked promptly, start dates kept, and the job finished when Greg says it will be — the two things Stockport reviewers mention most.
Whether it's a full redecoration before a sale or a single hallway that's been waiting years, the job gets the same planning.

Greg did the whole outside of my house, painted the kitchen and a garden wall, and repaired two doors. No corners cut at all — a fair, professional job.
